Thank you for applying for a position with Shapin Medical Transcription
(SMT). All positions are Independent-Contractors. You will be
responsible for your own taxes. SMT will provide you with an
annual 1099 form for tax purposes. All payments are based on
net lines transcribed correctly.
Please fill out the following information. After submitting
your information and resume, the system will email you a password
to be able to access our testing area. You’ll be given
a written medical terms test first. If you score at least 90%
in the written test, you’ll be given a sample dictation
to transcribe. We’ll score your final test within 48 hours
of submission.
Please do NOT call for test results.
We will contact you if you are being offered an Independent-Contractor
position.
